The EvaDAT evaluation database goes online.

2019

Following the research project, former project lead Dr.-Ing. K. Stopp founds connectINGs GmbH. Under the technical direction of M. Sc. N. Müller, the company develops the EvaDAT database with a new program code and a more user-friendly design.

2016

To initiate this database, the chair of the VDI 6201 guideline committee, Prof. Dr.-Ing. R. Harte from the Chair of Structural Analysis and Dynamics at the University of Wuppertal, secures the research project “Conceptual design and development of a standardized example database for software-assisted structural analysis based on VDI 6201 for the use of structural analysis software in BIM-based process chains” through the “Zukunft Bau” research initiative. From July 2016 to March 2019, the database is created in the version developed within the research project under the project leadership of Dr.-Ing. K. Stopp and with the support of 18 project partners.

2011

To improve quality in software-assisted verification of load-bearing capacity and serviceability, the VDI 6201 Software-Assisted Structural Analysis guideline committee is established in 2011. The committee brings together parties from all areas of software development and software use. Part 1 (Principles, requirements, modelling, December 2015) and Part 2 (Verification examples, April 2019) are published. In addition to a declaration of self-commitment for software manufacturers and users, the idea of an example database is born to provide users with a larger and continuously updated number of evaluation examples.
