On November 7, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Fingerloos from Deutsche Beton- und Bautechnik-Verein E.V. and Dr.-Ing. Elisa Lafuente Hernández from Krätzig & Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft für Bautechnik mbH presented the work of the DBV working group, which contributes significantly to the EvaDAT platform, at the 29th Dresden Structural Engineering Seminar.

In their presentation on “Software for Structural Analysis” as a dialogue platform for software producers and structural engineers, they provided insights into their current work results:

  • Development of 11 EvaDAT evaluation examples to date

  • Participation in the standard interpretation of the concrete working line for low modulus of elasticity (solution to the numerical problem was included in DAfStb issue 600-1 as explanations to 3.1.5)

  • Technical articles for DBV circulars, e.g., on determining the temperature distribution in the concrete cross-section and calculating the buckling stability of prestressed precast beams

  • Practical experience of an engineering firm with the EvaDAT example 0040-D-DBV-AK software “Influence of creep on the design of slender spun concrete columns according to the general method”

A big thank you to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Fingerloos and Dr.-Ing. Elisa Lafuente Hernández for their excellent presentation and to the entire DBV working group for their commitment to jointly advancing the future of software-supported structural design!
